Two Wars and 2500 Miles

A few years ago I walked into my cousin’s house and was told by one of his friends I was in the room of my future husband. I laughed it off. My current boyfriend, Cory, was the one telling me this. Cory and I met four years ago and had an instant connection, and became friends immediately, both of us secretly wanting more but me being the one guilty of not allowing it to happen, Cory’s persistence and confidence never stopped. Cory left for the Marines in 2007, and we began to fall out of touch. One random day I received a call from Cory and our friendship was alive again. Soon after, Cory had to do a Field Op and was gone for thirty days, longest thirty days of my life, when he returned he called, and I was never happier to hear from him. It was then I realized we were meant to be together, and so we started our relationship. Since then, Cory has been deployed to Iraq and will be deployed to Afghanistan in a few months, as hard as it can be at times, two wars and 2500 miles will not keep us apart.
